Back to Lark

Lark does not sell your personal information. We do share a small amount of data to measure which ads bring people to the App, and you can turn that off at any time. This page explains exactly what is shared and how to stop it.

1What we share, and with whom

Only if you allow tracking when the App asks:

  • Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA). A device-level ID Apple provides, which you control.
  • Your Lark user ID. A random identifier for your account. Not your name or email.
  • Marketing milestones. Finishing onboarding, seeing the paywall, signing in, starting a trial, subscribing.

These go to AppsFlyer, our measurement partner, which passes measurement data to the platforms we advertise on, currently Meta and TikTok, so they can tell which of their ads led to an install or a subscription.

Under California law this counts as sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, even though no money changes hands and we do not sell your data. Some other state privacy laws use the term targeted advertising for the same thing.

2How to opt out

Any one of these stops it. You do not need to do all three.

  • Decline the prompt. Shortly after you first open Lark, iOS asks whether the App may track you. Choose Ask App Not to Track. Nothing else changes and every feature keeps working.
  • Change it later. Open iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking and switch Lark off. You can also turn off Allow Apps to Request to Track to decline for every app at once.
  • Email us. Write to support@lark.travel and we will action it for you. We respond within 30 days.

3What happens when you opt out

We stop collecting the advertising identifier. We still receive Apple's SKAdNetwork measurement, which tells us in aggregate that a campaign worked without identifying you or your device.

No feature of Lark is gated on your answer, and we will not ask you again unless you reinstall the App.

4Your other rights

Depending on where you live, you may also access, correct, delete, export, or restrict processing of your data, or lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority. You can delete your account and all its data at any time from Profile › Delete account in the App.

Full detail on what we collect and who processes it is in our Privacy Policy.

5Authorized agents

If you are submitting a request on someone else's behalf, email support@lark.travel with proof of their authorization. We may contact them to confirm before we act.
