This page explains our use of AI, in line with transparency obligations including the EU AI Act (Art. 50).

1You're interacting with AI

When you import a place or generate a trip, your request is processed by generative AI. The resulting itineraries and recommendations are synthetic, produced by an AI system, not written by a human. AI-generated content is labeled as such in the App.

2The technology we use, and what it never does

  • Google (Gemini). Identifies places and builds recommendations.
  • Tavily. Travel web search that grounds those recommendations.
  • For social posts you import, we first retrieve the post's public content through a third-party service, then use AI to find the places in it.

What it never does: it doesn't run in the background, doesn't scan your photo library or device, doesn't read anything you didn't hand it, and isn't used to serve you ads. Your personal content isn't sold.

3What is and isn't sent to AI

Sent: the content you choose to import (screenshots, text, links, social posts) and the trip details you enter (destination, interests, pace, companions).

Not sent: your name, email, sign-in credentials, payment information, device identifiers, or your precise GPS location. (Precise location is used only for the nearby-places map, which is handled by our maps provider, not by AI.)

4Limitations

AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Independently verify before you act on it:

  • opening hours, prices, and availability;
  • visa, entry, and safety requirements;
  • weather and seasonal conditions;
  • travel times, routes, and transport;
  • reservation or booking requirements.

Lark Travel is a planning assistant, not a substitute for official travel, safety, legal, medical, or financial advice.

5No automated decisions affecting your rights

We don't use AI to make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. All AI output is informational; you stay in full control of whether to use it.

6Human oversight

You can edit any AI-generated itinerary: add, remove, reorder, override, or ignore it entirely.

7Reporting a problem

To report AI output that's wrong, harmful, or offensive, email support@lark.app with a description and, if possible, a screenshot. We review every report.
